I am sick of the same old excuses of whats wrong with the NY GIANTS its obvious
ELI MANNINGIs the problem. The only time Eli comes close to being a Nfl Qb is on the very first drive of a game before the defense has a chance to adjust to the playcalling. Just as soon as the defense adjusts, Eli looks like a school girl playing keep away with a football. It seems as though his arm strength and acc dissapear with any pressure and he can't see the field. It ki lls me when he throw a 4 yard bale out in to the turf at least 2-3 times a game. How can the fans and reporters not be calling for his head. That type of error is not acceptable in high school let alone the NFL.
IF he were not Named Manning he would not be starting in the NFL. making those kinds of mistakes

You're right, his name gets him where he is. Jared was a better passer in college and still is now. Eli's main problem is not that he's physically unable to perform at a high level, but that he is mentally unfit. When you're being taken down by a d-linemen, throw the ball away! Eli just kind of tosses it up with good intentions. Like I say, the New York media may contribute to his frazzled nature, as well as the expectations to live up to his brother, which makes it that much easier to put in the easygoing J-Lo as your starter. People have been calling him fat for years and it still doesn't faze him.

Here's some replies off the Bengals message board on a topic I created: Bengals nation, of which I am an entrenched resident, says "OKAY!" for a QB change in NY.

If lorenzen wasn't the Qb he is, he would have never in a million years went from the 4th string to the 2nd string in NY. Not at his weight 275+. Many non-parcel fans agree that Lorenzen out performed all the Qbs including Eli Manning in the offseason and in the preseason in his limited time.

You're exactly right, and don't forget people that the former second stringer for the G-Men was a Hasselbeck. Jared's already proven he is better than one awesome QB's crappy brother; why not let him prove he's better than Eli?

Some interesting stats. Jared and Eli both played from 2000 - 2003 in the exact same conference, so basically against the exact same competition. The stats below are there individual stats for there College career. So why do people think Eli is so much better again? Did I mention that Eli had better receivers and an offensive line? PYD Lorenzen: 10354 TD: 90 PYD Manning: 10119 TD: 86

Eli must have a clause in his contract that states he cannot be benched. Thats the only reason that I can see for him playing every down of every game. There is no excuse in the world for Eli Manning to be in the game for mop-up duties or in the 4th Qr. with 3mins to go down 21 points. Any coach with any control would have put in the backups for some reps. and to prevent injury. Eli hasn't left the game early all season or in the playoffs. Thats insane.

I hadn't even thought of that point, xfactor. The only reason I can think of that Eli would want to be left in the game when they're up big is because these are the games where he actually looks good. I guess he feels like he's on a roll, and he knows that the next game he probably won't be so lucky. And it's not like Coughlin controls that team anyway. Good points, my friend.
